Freedom Run 2.0 initiative raised £110,468. Having tangible and immediate impact with transparent allocations of the funds was our major ambition. With the below, Freedom Runners & Supporters can learn precisely how the donations help Ukraine to overcome the ongoing war.

Razom

64% of raised funds

£70,700 allocated to Razom who financed the installation of water filtering stations, and children’s development and educational programmes

Razom is pleased to share that ten water filtering stations were installed in the Dnipro and Kherson Regions in September 2023, which are now providing water to communities where the water supply was severed by the destruction of Kahkovka Dam in early June 2023. That catastrophe left many people in the Dnipro area without running and potable water.

Ten stations can provide up to 180,000 liters of drinking water per day, which is a huge help for people left without drinking water.

Additionally, in 2023 Razom supported 7 children’s centers and helped around 1,500 children per month, providing socialization and psychological support. The funds to support such programmes run about $58,000 USD for 2 months.

Superhumans

19% of raised funds

£20,989 allocated to Superhumans who used the funds to operate their rehabilitation center in Lviv, Ukraine. These funds have helped finance rehabilitations of approximately 30 patients.

The aim of the rehabilitation is to aid the patient to gain independence, with the most efficient gait possible. The rehabilitation process takes into account the physical capabilities, level of amputation, psychological status, pre-amputation function, existing medical conditions and the patient’s expectations.

The Superhumans Center provides multiple variations of rehabilitation, such as physical, occupational, hydrotherapy etc. Their goal is to reach a 98% adherence rate of the prosthesis use for 8 hours per day.

Minimum duration of rehabilitation is 3 weeks and could last up to several months, depending on case difficulty.

Dignitas

14% of raised funds

£15,466 allocated to Dignitas helping in purchasing ~10 Mavic drones.

Thanks to the support of Freedom Run 2.0 and other fundraisers, Dignitas has been able to in 2023:

  • Train over 50,000 drone operators, providing crucial technology for Ukrainian forces.
  • Launch programs specifically designed for women and veterans with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in our efforts.
  • Deliver 17 mobile shower and laundry units to the front lines, contributing to improved hygiene and morale for Ukrainian troops.
  • Equip the front lines with a combined force of 777 reconnaissance drones and 1888 FPV drones, enhancing their situational awareness and combat capabilities.

Ptashky

3% of raised funds

£3,314 allocated to Ptashky Fund

As part of Freedom Run 2023, we raised funds in support of a small Ukrainian NGO called Ptashky foundation. The donations were allocated to a specific military unit — the 3rd artillery platoon, mortar battery, 4th Battalion of the Offensive Guard “Burevii”, which back then was stationed near Lyman, Kharkiv region. The soldiers themselves had purchased a vehicle, and Ptashky with the help of your donations stepped in to help equip it. With the raised funds, Ptashky bought and delivered new tires, a generator, and an EcoFlow power station.

Additionally, Ptashky provided two laptops for operational use. These supplies were essential for the unit’s mobility, communications, and energy needs at the frontline. All equipment was purchased based on direct communication with the unit to ensure relevance and urgency. Every item funded was used by the unit on active duty. Ptashky is grateful to everyone who contributed — your support has made a real impact.

    Some very loyal supporters of Freedom Run received paintings from Ukrainian kids as part of the “Kids and Art for Ukraine” charitable project which helps children from art schools in Ukraine continue their education and express themselves through painting, singing, playing instruments, and dancing.
