Superhumans Center
superhumans.comSport plays an important role in recovery after war trauma. For many patients, it becomes not only a way to rebuild strength, endurance and confidence in their bodies, but also a source of new motivation, purpose and community.
That is why, alongside its everyday prosthetic care, Superhumans runs a dedicated sports prosthetics programme. Specialised sports prostheses help patients return to running, training and other physical activities, and we are raising funds so more patients can continue their recovery through movement, sport and new possibilities.
With £20,000 raised, we will be able to provide around seven sports prostheses for Superhumans patients.
This year, some of those patients will take on the Freedom Run themselves, travelling to London to attend the race. For them, this is more than a run.
